Every May, the Administration for Community Living leads our nation’s observance of Older Americans Month. The theme for 2020 was selected
to encourage and celebrate countless contributions that older adults make to our communities. Their time, experience, and talents benefit family,
peers, and neighbors every day! Communities, organizations, and individuals of all ages are also making their marks. This year’s theme highlights
the difference everyone can make – in the lives of older adults, in support of caregivers, and to strengthen communities.
Please make plans to join our celebration on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Region 16 Education Conference Center at 5800 S. Bell
from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Lunch will be provided and there is no cost for this event! The Area Agency on Aging along with numerous Community partners will be hosting
this celebration which will include educational break out sessions. We will learn about story telling, from a professional story teller! Our opening
session will include honoring individuals who have made their mark in the Panhandle and share their stories!
