SENIOR 2 SENIOR

grandparents taught me that I had the ability to
do or create anything by myself. Canyon ISD
One more couple I need to mention is my Cosmetology
adopted grandparents, Tim and Mrs. Wyatt.
Growing up, my family moved around Haircuts, color,
the Texas Panhandle a lot. While living in
Childress, my neighbors, Tim and Renae Wyatt, nails, facials and
took my whole family in and were always
             the sweetest more...
             people to
             us. When
             my parents
             had to work, (806) 677-2760
             my brother
and I would 50% off for
             walk across
             the street to senior citizens
             their house,
             and they and military!
would treat us like their own grandkids. We
had a tradition that, every time we came over,
Tim always had a treat or toy in his pocket for
me and my brothers; we just had to ask what
it was. Even while my parents were in the
hospital waiting on the birth of my youngest
brother, Tim and Mrs. Wyatt let my brother and
me stay with them. Although these two people
are not related to me by blood, I have always
thought of them as family. They showed me
what true kindness is. Even though my family
no longer lives in Childress, Mrs. Wyatt always my life. Without these grandparents, I would not have
reaches out to ask how we are. the connections and experiences I have been gifted
with today. I am so grateful for what they have taught
All three of these couples have had a me, and I am so blessed to be able to call them my
tremendous influence on my life. Each of them grandparents.
has taught me something I can use throughout
