He is survived
by his children: Dr. Ray Allen (Terry) of Alpine
Texas; Frances Collins (John) of Lake Isabella,
California; Lois Hughes (Glenn) of Fritch, Texas;
Donna Kay Dickey (Richard) of Allison, Texas; Serving all your
and Sallie Adcock (Tim) of Mobeetie, Texas; his
nephew, Johnny Bailey (Debbi) of Pampa, Texas; vehicles needs,
and nieces, Judy Parker (Larry) and Sue Blevins,
both of Pampa, Texas, along with numerous at your ease!
grandchildren. They remember Hugh with
great affection and words like “quiet, dedicated,
humble, and hard working.” He was very good
to all of us. When the Quilts of Honor were
presented to veterans at Ussery Roan on May 29,
the day after Hugh’s death, his daughters were
on hand to proudly accept it on his behalf. They
then presented it to Hugh’s great-granddaughter
and namesake Bailey McAlpine. The impact of
his century on the planet will be remembered
and
treasured
not only by
his family
but by
everyone
who knew
the good
man.
