grandmother’s footsteps, both girls learned the language so

Not just one, but two endowments at Lubbock
Christian University are in their names. The one in
Pat’s parents’ memory provides scholarships for more
than 20 students each year. The second supplies funds for
the students and professors at the Bible College.
The accolades and awards the Smiths have accumulated are
too numerous to count, but they would tell you that the ones
they really care about have yet to be bestowed. Their cheerful
generosity is earning something far greater. The Sermon on
the Mount refers to it: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon
earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break
through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not
break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your
heart be also” (Matt. 6:19-21).

Texans a good name.
